Where's the Silhouette Pixscan Mat Option?
If you're a fan of the Silhouette Pixscan mat[1], like I am, you may have noticed a change in the software that took place in one of the updates along the way.
There's no longer a Pixscan mat option in the Silhouette Studio Design Settings window...it's like it just vanished!
I'm here to tell you: all is okay with the world of Silhouette.
In fact, if you attempt to pick a mat from the dropdown menu in the Design Page Settings when using the Pixscan mat, you will very likely end in a serious of errors.
So the bottom line is - when using your Silhouette Pixscan mat with CAMEO or Portrait you do not need to select your mat!

There's actually no longer any need to pick a mat size when using the Silhouette Pixscan mat[2]. When you import a Pixscan image, the software and machine automatically know you are using the Pixscan mat eliminating the need to manually select a mat size from the Design Page Settings window.

Check out what happens to the work area and virtual mat when I select "Cameo 12x12" from the Cutting Mat drop down menu.

Wondering why I had my Silhouette Mint on my Pixscan mat? I was making a perfectly sized Mint vinyl skin, of course! Oh, and it's free to download if you're interested in wrapping your Mint in vinyl goodness!
